We are now seeking a Security Vetting administrator, this is a key role where you will Support the vetting lead with the management of the site Vetting process.
the security vetting administrator will be responsible for overseeing the processing, storage and sharing of all vetting related records stored within the secure drive.
The day-to-day management of vetting will include communication with Skanska staff and subcontractors in relation to gathering required vetting data and collating the information in accordance with Cabinet office vetting guidance.
Checking and recording right to work evidence and liaising with employers to confirm work history, references and other required information in support of the vetting process.
The vetting administrator will have regular liaison with other functions including the office manager and the Health and safety team to ensure that all processes regarding vetting are integrated with the site access and induction processes to ensure that only suitably cleared and authorised staff and contractors are allowed access to the site.
You will:
- Maintain and manage the Vetting process across the site assisting the site security lead
- Initiate processes for the correct storage, maintenance and processing of personal data within the defence sector of the business.
- Assist with all site activities where security and vetting are a factor.
- Manage aspects of data protection with regards to Vetting to ensure compliance with GDPR.
- Adherence of Security Plans and ensure implementation reflects the Client requirements
- Assist the vetting lead in their responsibilities with regards to reporting.
- Support the management of personal security clearances where required
We're looking for:
- Experience of working in a secure environment preferred
- Experience of working with construction companies an advantage particularly in a security role
- Knowledge of current Vetting processes to include right to work and criminal record checks desirable
- Educated to a degree level desirable or relevant experience
- Able to achieve a current National security clearance
