    Job Title: Direct Support Specialist - Addictions PRN Mt. Claire

    Summary:

    We are seeking a part-time Direct Support Specialist to provide support and guidance to individuals with addictions in a community-based setting.

    Salary: $15-$20 per hour (dependent on experience)

    Job Description:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Teach and model activities of daily living (ADL) skills, including personal hygiene, housekeeping, meal preparation, money management, and educational goal-setting.
    • Plan and facilitate community-based activities, such as medical appointments, grocery shopping, and socialization.
    • Provide transportation, ensuring adherence to standard safety practices.
    • Administer First Aid and CPR, as needed.
    • Supervise self-administered medication, depending on the specific clinical program's protocols.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Zero to one year full-time experience working with individuals who receive services for treatment of a mental health, substance abuse, intellectual disability, or physical health condition.
    • Ability to provide nurturing attention and care to individuals with disabilities.
    • Valid driver's license and proof of automobile liability insurance.
