Design and Development
- Perform initial scoping and Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to assess, identify and create learning plans and solutions to meet individual and group learning aims and training requirements.
- Verify that learning solutions are designed to specific structure, containing clear learning objectives and outcomes.
- Ensure that objectives are measurable, including SMART and motivational objectives, for both classroom based courses and elearning content.
- Prepare training sessions and learning workshops
- Create and update training scripts, learning plans, delegate exercises, handouts and other training support material to support harmonised learning solutions.
- Arrange learning activities that cater for different learning types that encourage and motivate learners
- Work with the Implementation Specialists, Business Change and management teams to prepare, generate and update training materials
- Assist in regular testing of new and upgraded software/hardware and training environments and make relevant adaptations to all associated training materials to support new training practices/ functionality across the department.
- Pilot training sessions and identify/suggest appropriate improvements.
- Deliver learning solutions to groups and individuals using a number of methods; including live online learning events, classroombased learning, facilitating selflearning, elearning, demonstrations and presentations
- Deliver training both internally and externally on clinical and nonclinical processes, based on standard operation procedures.
- Deal effectively with groups of mixed ability and use a range of coaching skills and counselling skills to encourage and motivate learners, managing group dynamics.
- Thoughtfully provide feedback to learners who fall short of competency expectations, liaising with the relevant management to formulate a plan for reassessment
- Ensure delivery of learning is balanced and Learning Objectives are clearly defined and reviewed appropriately.
- Use a variety of question types and techniques to facilitate learning.
- Adapt existing material to support formal and informal learning, ensuring accuracy, relevance and effectiveness of the materials.
- Assist in the design and review of department policies regarding account management and maintenance in line with and in conjunction with IG and information security
- Effectively overcome resistance to change to encourage, facilitate and embed behavioural change.
- Generate a conducive learning environment to promote active learner participation, encouraging learners to ask questions and work comfortably within a safe environment.
- Design course exercises that provide assessment of the learning objectives.
- Review and reassess Learners who do not meet the required level of learning and do not obtain objectives.
- Review end of course and post course evaluation forms to further develop the service and personal training delivery skills.
- Evaluate own working practices and work in with colleagues to evaluate learning solutions and advise the Training Lead of any issues or potential problems. Identify possible workable solutions.
- Capture and assess all learners' knowledge, skills and attitudes to ensure learners possess key skills and prerequisites.
- Complete preattendance information and inform delegates of all relevant information regarding the training programme.
- Conduct open learning lunch time and evening dropin workshop sessions.
- Support all other members of the team wherever necessary.
- Be aware of the operational needs of the company, offering support when required.
- Build and maintain strong links with customer staff and representatives
- Refer users directly to the appropriate team if the query is not within the scope of the training department.
- Ensure that all training issues are followed up and resolved.
- To be responsible for developing and maintaining self knowledge, skills and professional awareness.
- Willing to develop professional skills and attend courses as deemed relevant, including mandatory training, and to attend meetings and conferences as appropriate.
- Plan and organise own diary to fulfil training duties and attend required meetings
- Work according to Dedalus' CORE values to ensure personal objectives are met.
- Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Products (Office 365 products)
- C&G CTTLS / DTTLS / 7307 / 7407 / 6502 or equivalent training qualification
- Experience with Lorenzo or similar clinical administration product
