Description
Our Client is a full-service commercial law firm based in London's legal district. They have more than 60 partners and over 300 employees. The Finance department is made up of a central management team, Cashiers, Billing and Credit Control teams.

They are looking for a Working Capital Controller to join them on a contract basis.


Responsibilities

  • Liaising with all areas of the business supporting the billing and eBiling process.
  • Assisting with raising proforma, engrossing and all other billing and eBilling related processing. Ensuring all eBilling rejections and queries are dealt with in a prompt and timely manner.
  • Work directly with client eBilling teams/providers to ensure the firm has all the relevant info required and clients and fee earners are up to date on onboarding progress.
  • Manage eBilling Hub processes, ensuring client guidelines and rates are updated in the system.
  • Coordinate accruals, reporting and budgets and submit to client portals.
  • Preparation for and attendance at monthly WIP meetings. Processing all WIP writeoffs and transfers.
  • Setting up monthly billing routines, as required.
  • Dealing with ledger queries and credit note requests, as appropriate.
  • Arranging for proformas to be raised and/or diarised.
  • Chasing outstanding proformas on a weekly basis.
  • Extensive Credit Control experience within a professional services environment
  • Experience of practice management systems such as Elite 3e and specialist credit control workflow tools (e.g. Credit force).
  • Strong technical knowledge of VAT issues applicable to billing of legal services and 3rd party costs.
  • Proactive approach and readiness to recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to switch from client facing to processing activities as workload requires.
  • Ability to manage own workload and prioritise accordingly.
