A specialist SEN school situated in Birmingham are looking to recruit a Support worker to work as SEN Teaching assistants.

These roles are initially advertised on a temporary basis but have the potential to become permanent for the right person.


The school supports pupils with a wide range of complex needs including Autism Spectrum Condition, which leads to interaction or communication difficulties.

Due to the specific needs of the pupils, school are now looking to appoint support workers who canuse their training, experience, and personalities to support the young people as Teaching assistants in the classroom.


The available positions will involve working directly with pupils who have Autism and complex needs, you will be supporting students with their education, behaviour, and sensory needs.

The ideal Support worker for this SEN Teaching assistant position will have:

  • Experience working with individuals with SEN in any capacity
  • Previous experience as a support worker or similar
  • Available for fulltime work
  • Willing to work with challenging behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
