Boiler Shop represents a versatile, state of the art venue and is easily adaptable for multiple uses - from intimate gigs to headline rock concerts and from banquets to seminars.
We are searching for enthusiastic individuals to join our casual Food & Beverage Team working at Boiler Shop on an event driven basis.
The role will include a range of shifts from day shifts to evenings and weekends but we are fully flexible and open to accommodating all shifts type requests.
Customer service is at the heart of everything we do and we are looking for team players that can make a positive contribution to the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities of the Event Cook
- Preparing quick service food items at various events such as Bongos Bingo.
- A good level of understanding of the operational duties within the Kitchen environment.
- A good understanding of HAACP principles.
- Maintaining a high level of food service standards as set out by the F&B Manager.
- Follow and accurately complete all kitchen procedure checklists for record keeping.
- To maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and upkeep of equipment.
- To ensure the daily Kitchen opening and closing duties are carried out as instructed by the F&B Manager.
- To help maintain the maximum yield in the kitchen in relation to the GP and Wastage.
- Able to work on own and within a team environment.
- Will be required to selfmanage and oversee other staff team members where needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- To attend departmental meetings as required.
- Always comply with all statutory and legal requirements, including Food Safety, Fire, Health and Safety, licensing, and employment.
- Able to act in a calm and professional manner.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to time constraints.
- To have clear working knowledge of all company policies and always operate within them.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Must hold a minimum of a Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
- Experience in a similar role or relevant experience.
- Must have knowledge in kitchen hygiene and kitchen working practices.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to change, in line with business needs.
- Available to work daytimes and evenings including weekends and bank holidays.
Job Types:
Part-time, Zero hours contract
Part-time hours: 0-20 per week
Salary:
Up to £11.50 per hour
