Due to retirement, we are looking to recruit and Assistant/Management Accountant to report into the Finance Director and joining a well-established, dynamic finance department who in return offer a very competitive salary and generous benefits.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Supervise & support management accounts assistant, overseeing day to day finance operations in respect of banking, accounts payable, credit control, and general workload.
  • Administration of finance systems
  • MDBC, banking platforms, supplier portals, payroll portals& similar
  • Maintain the General ledger set up in finance system. Establish & run reports as required from finance system.
  • Maintain TB to ensure balance between head office and branch.
  • Maintain fixed asset register, month end entries & existence reviews.
  • Check & post credit notes raised by business, raise recharge invoices as required.
  • Month end entries for accruals and prepayments, overhead review 8. Preparation of month end schedules to support management accounts preparation.
  • Manage all aspects of payroll, including monthly preparation of data, annual returns, pensions, autoenrollment, benefits portal, and other benefits renewals.
  • Complete & submit all VAT and sales tax returns
  • Assist with insurance renewals, data gathering and analysis & manage insurance claims.
  • Completion of all national statistics office requests 13. Assist with preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Complete US branch taxation, annual & quarterly filings.
  • Act as company secretary in respect of UK filings at companies house
  • Inventory control and review including cost variances, inventory audits, standard cost analysis, provisions and overhead absorption.
  • Assist with corporation tax and R&D tax credit calculations.

What you will need to succeed:

  • AAT qualified with intention to progress with further professional studies, or ACA Certificate Level or CIMA Operational Level, or higher, and continuing studies.
  • Excel intermediate to advanced.
  • Microsoft Outlook and other computer literacy skills required in today's business environment.
  • You will be expected to be familiar with all the tasks undertaken in the finance department as you will stand in for others when they are absent.
