    What will you be doing?
  • Working with customers or their appointed representatives to obtain and analyse financial information to calculate how much they need to pay towards the cost of care and support.
  • Inputting financial information using the Council's computerised systems to process community and residential care charges.
  • Identifying welfare benefits that may be available to claim and take follow up action.
  • Supporting customers, their representatives and social care practitioners to resolve care charge queries.

What knowledge, skills, and experience do you need?

  • Demonstrate a knowledge of the Care and Support (Charging and Assessment of Resources) Regulations, the Care and Support (Deferred Payment) Regulations and the care and support statutory guidance.
  • Proven ability to use computerised systems to interrogate information and accurately input data.
  • Able to work with mínimal supervision, organising and prioritising your workload
