About The Role:


Care South, a leading not for profit registered charity, have an exciting opportunity for an Assisted Living Team Leader in Kenwith Gardens, a 31 bungalow Assisted Living community in the beautiful countryside near to Bideford. Now is the perfect time
to join Care South and be part of our exciting plans, as we look to start extending our care services into the surrounding local villages and towns.**
Please note the closing date on this role is 20th May 2024 and interviews will be held on 23rd May 2024.


As the Assisted Living Team Leader, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day monitoring, management, and delivery of the Assisted Living service and the Pavilion.

This will include, care and support services, administration, reporting of events, managing systems, management of staff and the management of risk, health and safety.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide line management, support, and direction to staff (including agency staff) and ensure allocated tasks are performed and completed in accordance with Care South's policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that fire precautions, infection control and health and safety procedures, including moving and handling are adhered to by all staff.
  • Manage the organisation and delivery of regulated activity personal care in the local community using rostering and digital care planning systems.
  • Ensure the domestic support, personal care and community needs of residents are met in line with wishes, assessed need, and the policies of Care South.
  • Administer medication as prescribed by the GP/Consultant and in line with Company policies and procedures and RPSG and NICE guideline.
  • Monitor and test emergency lifeline equipment, escalate faults to the lifeline provider and keep resident lifeline system records up to date.
  • Coordinate the running of the Pavilion shop and café, overseeing stock control and the organisation of activities and events for residents. Liaise with the appropriate person to organise regular and frequent catered events.
  • Liaise with GPs, social workers, district nurses, and other professionals as required.
  • Encourage, promote, and organise a wide range of community activities and events
  • Ensure appropriate records are maintained in line with Care South's policies, CQC requirements and agreed procedures, including treatment charts, daily care delivery records using EveryLife PASS and the recording of events using RADAR.
  • Ensure arrangements are made for the reception of residents, relatives, and visitors.
  • Be familiar and comply with all of Care South's policies, procedures, practices, and standards.
  • The role will include weekend working and will require flexibility to cover staffing absence.
  • To undertake any other comparable duties as may be required by the Care at Home Registered Manager and Head of Assisted Living
