G4S Care & Rehabilitation Services (CaRS) successfully manages 5 prisons, one secure training centre and a number of community contracts in England and Wales.
Reporting to the FM Soft Services Supervisor, we are looking for a full time Escort and Stores Operative to join our FM team to Escort and Control the contractor/visitor movements across the prison estate.
This role will also be responsible for meeting the Ordering Process of the Stores area for the entire secure estate, ensuring that all supplies and stock are readily available.
You will also work closely with prisoners.Key Responsibilities of this role
- Operate within G4S CaRS procedures to escort contractors/visitors movements across the prison estate that is the responsibility of G4S CaRS.
- Deal effectively and safely with contractor / visitor movements to maintain health & safety requirements
- Assisting in the development of contractor control procedure routines, processes, risk assessments, and records.
- Working with other craft qualified, semiskilled and unskilled maintenance staff if required in aspects of maintenance activities on a team work basis.
- Security awareness within a prison environment in respect to key locking and tool control when escorting maintenance contractors within the prison estate.
- Carry out routine inspections of the contractor works to make sure that all safety guidance and practises are followed to maintain an effective and efficient safe environment.
