We have a great opportunity to join the Housman Court Care Home.


We have a vacancy for a Bank kitchen assistant to cover annual leave where needed between the hours of 7 am to 7 pm.


You will be supporting the chef with preparation and serving of meals, using the dish washer and keeping the kitchen clean.

You will be able to accept deliveries and assist with stock rotation. Evening shifts consist of working independently preparing simple hot and cold options for our residents. You will be expected to follow cleaning schedules and close down at the end of shift.

Housman Court has a whole home approach to care, so training in supporting residents at meal times and basic manual handling will be provided.

You will be required to hold a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate. You will be required to develop your knowledge and skills.


There will be occasion when you will need to stand in for the cook when they are on annual leave so previous experience cooking in a care setting will be an advantage.
