Position Overview:
Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to provide individualized support to students, contributing to their personal and academic development in our unique educational setting.
Responsibilities:
Student Support:
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, assisting with their academic and personal development.
Behavioural Support:
Implement behaviour management strategies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Classroom Assistance:
Support teachers in delivering lessons and adapting materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
Individualised Plans:
Work with teachers to implement individualized learning plans for students, addressing specific learning styles and needs.
Communication:
Maintain open and effective communication with teaching staff, parents/guardians, and external professionals involved in the student's education.
Record Keeping:
Keep accurate records of student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to the teaching team as necessary.
Professional Development:
Engage in relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma; additional qualifications in education or related fields are advantageous.
- DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience working in an educational setting, preferably in a Pupil Referral Unit or similar environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to the evolving needs of students.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm
Salary:
£82.09-£102.00 per day

Ability to commute/relocate:

Education:
- Bachelor's (preferred)
Experience:
Teaching Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- DBS on update service (preferred)
