Description

What will the apprentice be doing?

Responsibilities:


  • Process expenses and credit card returns accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring necessary approvals are obtained.
  • Prepare biweekly payroll for freelance workers, obtaining approval and distributing the 'Unpaid List' to relevant contacts.
  • Issue the biweekly 'Flash Report' for the sales team, providing essential financial insights.
  • Offer general assistance to the Finance team, handling adhoc daytoday tasks for the back office.
  • Send out permanent invoice reminders to clients, maintaining effective communication.
  • Manage DEA (Direct Earnings Attachment) and AOE (Attachment of Earnings) Letters for temporary staff.
  • Ensure proper storage of purchase invoices and prepare a Weekly Purchase Ledger Log for review by one of the directors.
  • Address general finance queries promptly and accurately.
  • Demonstrate compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Due to the dynamic nature of our small business, the apprentice will have the opportunity to engage in a diverse range of tasks, fostering a comprehensive learning experience in the field of finance administration.


What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Accounts or finance assistant (level 2)
  • 1 day a week dedicated to coursework
  • Fareham College

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Opportunity to grow with the business within the Accounts Department.

Salary:
£12,000.00-£17,000.00 per year
