Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our busy team for 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis.

Please note that this position is pending AFC Banding.


The post holder will form part of the Radiology Team and will be responsible for performing support duties to the Secretarial and Administration Team as will aid the smooth running of the Radiology department and provide a high level of patient care.


The role will require you to work across all areas in the Trust which includes those that are designated as positive, asymptomatic and negative COVID wards.

The post holder will provide a full range of administration and secretarial support to the Radiology Admin team including preparing images for a variety of MDT meetings, ensuring the images are burned to CD for Medico-legal enquiries and pushing and receiving images that are transferred between PACS portals of the Trust with other Trusts


The post holder will be expected to organise their own workload and co-ordinate activities with members of staff including Medical secretaries, Image co-ordinators and Booking coordinators both internal and external, to the department and Trust, to ensure that an efficient service is provided and will be responsible inputting patient data within the electronic radiology record.

The post holder will be expected to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation of the work.

On-Call


Please note that senior positions (AFC band 8A or above) may be expected to participate in an on-call rota, if the role is predominantly operational.

The post holder will provide a full range of administration and secretarial support to the Radiology Admin team

The post-holder will demonstrate an ability to work both supervised and unsupervised


The post holder will be expected to organise their own workload and co-ordinate activities with members of staff including Medical secretaries, Image co-ordinators and Booking coordinators both internal and external, to the department and Trust, to ensure that an efficient service is provided and will be responsible inputting patient data within the electronic radiology record.

The post holder will be expected to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation of the work.


The post holder should exercise initiative commensurate with the role and it is vital that confidentiality is maintained at all times.


The post holder will be expected to adapt to a flexible approach when the needs of the service is required.

As part of the Secretarial and Image Co-ordinating team the post holder will be responsible for preparing images for a variety of MDT meetings
