Teaching Assistant (Short Term/Long Term)

Lewisham (Neighbouring boroughs)

Salary:
£85 - £115 per day

Hours: 8:30 - 16:00

We are currently looking for teaching assistants around the Lewisham area (and neighbouring boroughs) to start a new role. The schools are looking for for short term, long term and permanent TA's ASAP.

About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Teaching Assistant to join this incredible school.

The TA will be expected to support students at a KS1/2 or 3/4 level between the hours of 8:30-16:00, however there may be a potential to work later due to school commitments.

The Teaching assistant will need to have experience managing students with challenging behaviour and and fully up to date with all safeguarding and child protection training.

The school does have a SEND provision, so the TA will be expected to support students with additional needs such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, ADD, Dyslexia.

About the School
The school is in an incredible part of Southeast London and only a short walk from the nearest station. Alternatively, the school does have limited onsite parking.

As previously mentioned, the school does support students with SEND so all TA's may be required for additional support if required.

The school is well connected with other schools and projects in the area, so for the right TA a good potential to explore career progression.

Requirements:

Must have a enhanced DBS on the update service
Must have previous experience managing challenging behaviour
Must've completed safeguarding training
Must have UK right to work documentation
Must be able to work the contracted hours
Must have experience supporting students in a UK school

What we are looking for

The TA will need to a proactive attitude.
The TA will need to have flexible approach to work
Teaching Assistant with Psychology degree or other relevant qualifications
The TA ideally will have a educational background
