HR Generalist
Glasgow (Hybrid)
FTC - 9 months
Up to £37,000 + Benefits
The Role:
- Building effective and sustainable working relationships with key HR leads, workstream contributors, and key business stakeholders.
- Developing a quick and full understanding of the business, any projects, and functional deliverables.
- Supporting the HR Business Partners and business lead in any organisational design reviews, consultations, and associated documentation required.
- Maintaining any appropriate project plans, dashboards, and reporting MI.
- Supporting the wider HR team with advice, guidance, and actions on a range of generalist HR activities.
- Supporting the Employee Relations Manager and HRBPs in individual or collective trade union matters and administration across the area(s) of business as required.
- Familiarising and offering guidance on key people metrics across the organisation and HR so that advice and guidance are relevant, insightful, and focused.
- Supporting the systems activity associated with org design, structures, and people data.
- Identifying hot spots, trends, or process improvements across the function to help inform and shape change and improvements.
- Managing risk through the escalation of inappropriate practices, significant policy deviation, or failure to meet timescales to the HR Business Partner, identifying any training or awareness gaps across the business area(s).
- Supporting the People Services and wider HR team to deliver initiatives and objectives.
- CIPD qualified or equivalent educational achievement (or working towards).
- A demonstrable track record of working as an HR generalist.
- Excellent communication, and technical skills, works effectively with a team, and can provide clear and consistent employment advice.
- Ability to act with substantial discretion and professionalism.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and seek appropriate solutions.
- A proactive approach to work and problemsolving, and the ability to spot and deal with issues as they occur.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to persuade, influence and where appropriate, challenge robustly.
- Sound understanding of the principles of good HR practices and employment law.
- Proficient in IT packages including Excel and PowerPoint.

£35,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
