We are an independent accountancy firm that are experiencing a continuing rapid growth that has required us to create a role for an experienced accounts assistant, with a minimum of two years' experience within an accountancy practice, to join our team.

The role is offered at either our office in Edinburgh or Dalkeith.

You will manage a portfolio of clients and be involved in:

Preparation of annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Preparation of CT600s and income tax returns
Preparation and submission of income tax returns
Bookkeeping
Payroll

We are willing to offer a salary from £20,000 up to £26,000 per annum based on experience and qualifications for a 35 hour working week with working hours to suit you.

Our office closes at 1230pm on a Friday.

We do require:

You must have undertaken a similar role within an accountancy practice for a minimum of two years
You must have experience of preparing accounts to trial balance stage and beyond
You must have experience of cloud accounting products, preferably Xero
You must have excellent communication skills as you will be dealing directly with our clients.
