Opportunity has risen for experienced/competent Phlebotomist with extensive previous phlebotomy and or cannulation experience working in a busy department to join our bank team.

As part of our busy and friendly team, you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You will also need good manual dexterity, the ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to work independently and flexibly when necessary.

The work, as a phlebotomist, involves taking blood samples from patients who are currently being treated on our wards and outpatient department as well as those in other local hospitals where we provide services.

As you will know, properly taken blood samples are vital in helping our clinicians to effectively diagnose and treat the medical conditions in the patients that they see.

This vacancy is for shifts in A&E from 15:30-24:00 Monday to Sunday.

With opportunity to occasionally work as part of a team of 30 staff in OPD clinics, wards and GP surgeries.

Applicant must have a full driving licence and use of a car.

The post holder will be required to perform a range of venepuncture techniques and cannulation in a variety of clinical settings and will work without direct supervision.
