The
Document Controller is an essential part of our team supporting global projects within the Pipeline Group (PG).


Based in our Old Kilpatrick office near the Erskine Bridge, the role has access to both our hybrid and flexible working policies.

What will you be doing?


You will maintain and control PG's Production Project documentation in line with our management system processes and work collaborative with internal and external stakeholders to successfully manage the lifecycle of project documentation.


  • Assist and guide project personnel in the utilisation of the document control process.
  • Maintain a comprehensive Document Control System to meet specific project requirements.
  • Provide support in the management of all project documentation.
  • Support the presentation of Subsea7's document control process at the project Kick Off Meeting.
  • Ensure that the correct numbering and revision conventions are applied to all documentation, drawings and correspondence.
  • Accurately enter and update records / metadata within Client Document Management Systems.
  • Circulate documents for review, information, approval, etc by formal transmittal and / or DMS.
  • Ensure all project deliverables are stored in the DMS at every revision and in all relevant formats.
  • Promote and participate in the discussion of the "Subcontractor Document Register".
  • Support internal departments / functions produce documentation within MDR planned dates.
  • Assist in the supply of documentation for mobilisation (hardcopy/electronic formats).
  • Assist with archiving of project documents, ensuring information is in date and relevant.
  • Assist projects to ensure As-Built documentation is available for review.
  • Participate in initiatives to improve Document Control systems and procedures.
  • Participate and support internal audits as directed.
What experience would we like you to have?

  • Demonstrable experience within a similar role.
  • Proven ability working to project and/or system procedures.
  • Experience using business management systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, maintains strong collaborative relationships at all levels across a multicultural global environment.
  • Demonstrates credibility and professionalism, with the ability to influence to ensure all processes are fully understood and adhered to by participating project members.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive planning and organising skills, able to identify and effectively prioritise workload and successfully meet multiple, often competing deadlines.
  • Proactive with a solutionsbased approach, willing to challenge the status quo
  • Demonstrates initiative and ownership to deliver workload unsupervised while flexible to support wider team activities
  • Proven ability to review work methods in support of continually developing and improving efficient work methods and processes
