The Role
Working as a standalone, you'll make this role yours whilst reporting into the Managing Director.
You will be overseeing the transactional finance and accounting procedures. All aspects and types of reconciliation, sales, purchase and nominal ledgers, credit control, processing payments, statements, and invoices. Running weekly and monthly payroll for permanentand contracted staff including use of the CIS scheme.

As well as the Accounts side of the role, you will also be tasked with monitoring vehicle maintenance of MOT/servicing, ensuring Health and Safety training is up to date and recorded for all staff members, manage physical and online insurance records/documentation,handle general enquiries from clients and members of staff in the Managing Director's absence, and order any equipment needed for the office.

Ideally but not essentially, you'll hold a Bookkeeping /AAT accreditation. You will be a self-motivated all-round self-starter. You thrive on working on your own and are highly organised. Fantastic people skills and a can-do attitude. You comfortably liaisewith all stakeholders and are a person who is proud to deliver a job well done daily.

An adept Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper with experience working for a smaller business ideally in some form of standalone position.

Payroll and CIS scheme is essential.
IT skills should be of an intermediate level, Xero and Brightpay is highly desirable but can be trained.
