About the Role:

We have a great opportunity for a dynamic and passionate BI Consultant to join the team.

Reporting to the Head of Data & BI, this is a unique business partnership role to work collaboratively with colleagues to support data-driven decision making and great outcomes across the whole business.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to use your analytical expertise to help deliver outstanding value to our rapidly growing global client base in the Life Science sector.

What will you be doing?:


  • Thriving on building strong relationships, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gain a strong understanding of business requirements, and work collaboratively to drive business growth through data analysis and insights.
  • You will act as a consultant to other Departments, defining and building custom dashboards and reports to meet business needs, and translate outputs to deliver recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Talented in visualising meaningful data simply and succinctly, you will play a leading role in delivering a Data Visualisation solution for the business, with the support of our Innovation team.
  • You will own and drive continuous improvement of our processes, tools and reports.
  • You will proactively identify data gaps and make recommendations where improved data and reporting, and automation, can support business goals.
  • You will design data models and ETL processes to support scalable BI solutions.
  • You will play a key role in driving our initiative to embed a datadriven culture companywide.

What are we looking for?:


  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a business intelligence, business analysis, or equivalent commercial data role.
  • Proven track record in driving business value through delivery of BI solutions.
  • Highly experienced in working consultatively with other stakeholders to define data and reporting requirements, and practised in enabling others to interpret data and draw their own conclusions.
  • Excellent analytical, abstract reasoning and problemsolving skills.
  • Competent in the use of SQL and Python to retrieve data and build custom reports.
  • Excellent attention to detail, including when working under time pressure.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience in translating complex data sets and presenting as simple and succinct findings to make business recommendations.
  • Experienced Project Manager with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with implementing/working with a data visualisation solution such as Power BI.
