First Achieve Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer, in the Edinburgh region.

You will be working within a prestigious company, who have been established since the 1800's, they have state-of-the-art facilities & are heavilyinvolved in Global Manufacturing.

The role will be paying in the region of £32,000 - £39,000 per annum.
You will primarily be responsible for designing equipment, specify components, create drawings and produce technical documentation

Working within the design team, the role will cover all aspects of the hardware design and manufacture lifecycle from the initial requirements specification through to final customer acceptance.

This will include bid support, estimating, concept design,detailed design, sourcing, production engineering

Role Description:

Support for inservice issues may also form part of the role.
Experience with solid modelling design tools including structural analysis using finite element modelling.
A flair for problem solving and innovation, a flexible approach to work activities
Track record of creating and checking high quality production drawings
Intermediate or better Microsoft Office skills
Experience using Creo, Creo Simulate and ANSYS
