We are looking for a Lead Commerce Developer, who can offer additional expertise and motivation to our well-established Commerce team.


Based in the heart of Manchester, CTI is now one of the largest digital transformation agencies outside of London with 220 Digital professionals working for us.

Not only will you have exposure to some exciting technologies but you'll also get to know our various teams and departments.


Why our Commerce team?:


You'll be joining a team of 20 commerce developers - including a peer group of lead developers as well as a mix of senior, mid and junior developers.

You'll have a dedicated Test Lead per project, as well as support from team members across the wider business such as project managers, account managers, our production team and our commercial/sales team.


CTI Digital is the preferred digital partner for an impressive array of retailers including Little Greene Paint, Kew Gardens, McGraw-Hill Education and Visit Britain.

Our Commerce team works primarily with Adobe/Magento, however, we are increasingly working with several other platforms including, but not limited to:


  • Big Commerce
  • Shopify
  • Shopware

What will my day look like?:

As a Lead at CTI, you will be responsible for translating clients' requirements into technical solutions; balancing your time between leading the project delivery and getting involved in hands-on coding to keep your programming skills fresh and relevant.


  • You will plan and deliver requirementsgathering workshops to elicit client requirements.
  • Be familiar with the principles of modern technical architecture.
  • Recognise and deliver technical quality to specified requirements.
  • Devise technically feasible and efficient solutions.
  • Ensure solutions are fit for purpose and budget.
  • Contribute to the estimate and proposal process.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges.
  • Produce clientfacing training materials and documentation.
  • Lead a team of developers to deliver quality code efficiently.
  • Manage and document projectrelated risks and or concerns.
  • Work with the Project Manager and Solutions Architect in line with the company process.

desirable but not essential:


  • Experience working with headless content platforms such as Contentful, Prismic, Storyblok, etc.
  • Some exposure to Adobe Commerce Cloud
  • Experience working with Shopify and BigCommerce
  • Experience working with Product Information Management Systems such as Akeneo, Jasper, Pimbelry, Pim Core, etc.
  • Experience working with Magento/Adobe in a headless capacity using technologies such as PWA Studio, Vue Storefront, etc.
  • Experience with the Hyvä frontend
  • Active engagement with the Commerce community.

Location:
Our head office is in Manchester city centre (Ancoats) - we adopt a hybrid working model (2 days in the office per week)
