Working as a key member of the People team, you will support the People Advisors and People Advisory Manager in providing a professional HR service to our Core Functions (Support Services) Client Groups.


Key Responsibilities
HR System, Records and Reporting


Produce reports from HR Database with appropriate analysis as required, with guidance from Senior People Advisor/People Advisory Manager on an ad hoc basis.

Recording ER information on HR Database.

Leavers

  • Notify People Operations Team (POT) of leavers as required.
  • Conduct exit interviews with leavers.
Compensation and Benefits

  • Inform POT of any change of salary/benefits/transfer/bonuses after getting appropriate instruction/authorisation and check all standard documentation is completed and issued in a timely way to meet payroll deadlines.
  • Assist with cyclical C&B processes as required (bonus, salary review, reviewing holiday entitlements etc).
Family leave

  • Manage family leave related administration and queries.
  • Administer relevant paperwork in conjunction with POT.
  • Organise and conduct flexible working request meetings and liaising with POT regarding relevant paperwork, meeting timescales set out in relevant policy.
Policies and Procedures

  • Review the overtaken sickness statistics on reports provided by Payroll and inform the relevant line manager when money is required to be deducted.
  • Review absence triggers and liaise with line managers regarding support and next steps.
  • Deal with basic holiday entitlement queries and all other Payroll queries (in conjunction with Payroll and POT).
  • Provide general advice to line managers/employees on simple benefit entitlement queries including maternity, paternity, flexible working requests, pension, Jury service process and other related queries.
  • Answer queries sent to HR 'shared service' inbox.
Employee Relations

  • Assist with ER matters as appropriate (note taking, advising on capability processes, taking active role in investigations, hearings etc.
Student Recruitment & Attraction

  • Assisting with student intake 'first day' and work experience placement processes (organising, facilitating, presenting as required).
Service line specific or National projects

Provide support on projects, whether service line specific or National.


Requirements for the role

  • Experience of working in a generalist HR role for 12 years minimum.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail in written and numeric tasks.
  • Previous experience of working in a team.
  • Professional, commercial with flexible approach.
  • Good Excel/Data analysis skills (desirable).
  • Hybrid role must be able to attend local offices and travel across region. Some UK travel may be required.
  • Interested in progressing career in HR, e.g. studying for CIPD.
