Are you fun loving, yet professional?
We are looking for a Personal Assistant (PA) to support our client, a fun-loving young woman, with living independently, volunteering projects, and generally enjoying life

For this exciting and varied role, we are pleased to offer a fantastic rate of
£16.50 per hour for 20 hours each week.


About our Client


Our client is looking for someone fun, outgoing, and enthusiastic to bring a fresh outlook and ideas for new activities to bring into their life.

The client already leads a busy lifestyle, but have expressed a keen interest in exciting trips such as attending music festivals, going to more theatre shows, and volunteering with animals.


Currently, our client enjoys keeping fit and visits her personal trainer 4 times per week, but she would also like to go swimming more often which, with the right support, she will be able to do.

Building up the clients social life is also high on the client's list of priorities, so joining her on nights out and other social activities will be a big part of the PAs role.

Overall, your role as a PA is to encourage, enable, and support the client to achieve her goals.

However, it's important to note that the client is an independent adult and so there is a right balance between being encouraging without being paternal.


Responsibilities:


  • Our client requires support as a result of a brain injury. Therefore, PAs will assist the client in a wide range of support activities including joining the client on trips, assisting with domestic tasks and generally achieving her goals.
  • There are no personal care tasks required.
  • Be flexible and creative to minimise the barriers that people with disabilities face.
  • Identifying potential problems and finding ways to solve them.
  • Assist the client in organising and implementing her plans to progress with her volunteering ambitions, hobbies and social life.
  • Be enthusiastic and maintain a positive outlook on life. With spending a significant amount of time with our client, PAs should act as a positive influence on the client's life and encourage her to engage with the community.

The shifts are the following days; Monday and Saturday (8 hours), then 4 hours on one evening per week. The evening will be arranged prior to each week, but can be flexible depending on the client's schedule.

About You - Essential Attributes:


  • Be trustworthy and have a positive and enthusiastic outlook on life.
  • Have strong communication skills. Our client is looking for someone outgoing who can laugh at themselves.
  • Be flexible and adapt quickly to new situations/environments
  • A strong desire to help others, you will clearly see the impact you will have every day, so if you possess this, this is the role for you
  • Full UK driving licence (clean).
  • Be patient and caring.
  • Be happy to work the above shift pattern.
  • Likes animals Our client has a lovely dog.

About You - Desirable Attributes:


  • Have a keen interest in music, our client likes a range of music from rap and R&B, to Jazz and rock. Our client loves to be introduced to new music
  • A good sense of humour. Our client loves to have a laugh and the right PA will not take themselves too seriously. For reference, her favourite comedian is Jimmy Carr.
  • Awareness of how to promote good mental health.
  • A calm and patient demeanour.
