We are currently working with a leading international educational organisation, providing leading education and qualification to Young Adults from numerous sites across Europe.


On behalf of our client; we are presently seeking to recruit capable Exam Invigilators to cover a series of Examinations due to take place in our clients London (W1) site.


The main purpose and object of the role: To provide support to the examination process.


Main duties:
To support the Head Invigilator/ Examinations Team with the day-to-day operation of examination venues.

This may include (but is not limited to):
- assisting with setting up examination venues by laying out stationery, equipment and examination papers in accordance with the outlined procedures
- checking attendance during examinations
- recording details early leavers and collecting their examination paperwork
- collecting and collating scripts at the end of the examination in accordance with strict procedures
- assisting with the preparation of script envelopes


Other duties:
To assist the Examinations Team with other examination processes, such as (but not limited to)
- packing of examination papers, stationery and equipment prior to the examinations and the delivery to and from venues as appropriate
- preparation of seating plans
- delivering scripts to departmental and school offices.


Working hours:
we have a timetable of exams which require invigilation over the next six weeks.

Exam duration ranges from 1 to 3 hours and multiple examinations can be covered each day should you wish to increase your hours.

Alternatively shifts as brief as 1 hour can be covered to suite.


Person Specification:


  • Experience Experience of working or studying in a higher education environment
  • An understanding of examination processes
  • Effective oral/written communication skills
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Ability to relate to academic staff and students
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Job Types:
Part-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 1 week


Salary:
£12.00 per hour
