This is an expert role and requires a talented individual with knowledge of adult social care and the challenges and opportunities within delivery of the whole adult social care system.

In the East Riding we are proud of what we have achieved, and we are at the forefront of leading change and being more intelligence-led in order to drive forward our strategic direction.

This is an exciting time to join our leadership team and to shape the future of adult social care.

As a motivated and focused leader, you will interface strongly with services and stakeholders and be at the forefront of strategy and development whilst having leadership oversight of adult social care and health performance and data intelligence, advancing our position further.

In this role, you will ensure, in partnership with our corporate business change colleagues, that the change programme is effectively initiated across adult social care, managed with the programme manager, reporting to the adult social care change board.

The post will report to the director of commissioning and partnerships in a matrix management arrangement to support total collaboration across the whole system.

Adult social care and health has set out a compelling vision for adult social care in the future.

As our strategic service lead for adults performance and strategy, you will work closely with the adult social care change programme manager to progress the implementation of our new operating model, redesigning the East Riding care offer promoting wellbeing, prevention and maximising people's independence.

Your expertise and knowledge in adult social care will complement the corporate skills within the corporate business change team.

You will support the directorate leadership team to implement strategy and embed new ways of working, oversee performance and strategy development and be the designated risk coordinator for adult social care.

In addition, you will have a key role in preparing for CQC assurance and ensuring adult social care inspection readiness.

You will be responsible for planning the social care programme and jointly ensuring with the programme manager and wider corporate business change team, that robust mechanisms are in place for realising their delivery.

You will be able to develop and lead analysis and interpretation of intelligence incorporating performance, financial and customer insights and spatial data.

Overall, you will be able to demonstrate significant senior level experience in leading successful strategic work and projects.

Above all, you will share our vision of what adult social care is aiming to achieve and bring drive and enthusiasm into our exciting agenda.

If you can demonstrate significant senior level experience and skills in managing performance and strategy and influencing change, we are keen to hear from you.

You may also have a leadership or degree qualification to support your experience within the scope of the role. Experience in adult social care is highly desirable.
