The Scottish Courts and Tribunal service (SCTS) is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Procurement Specialist to join our team on a fixed term basis for 24 months.
The role reports to the Senior Procurement Specialist in the Estates and Built Assets Team, the role will have a focus on estates and built assets procurement but will involve working closely with other members of Procurement as well as Courts & Tribunals staff to deliver efficient and compliant contracts throughout the scope of SCTS procurement spend.
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for assisting with the efficient delivery of the Procurement service including governance, professional advice, support, guidance, training and project administration.
Working with and influencing key senior stakeholders you will drive the delivery of the Procurement Reform Programme realising identifiable savings, contribute to the wider public sector economic and sustainability agenda and play a key part in delivering a robust procurement service.
You will work across the organisation, sharing experience and input to the identification and deployment of best practice.You will be required to resolve complex issues when necessary to achieve outcomes providing robust commercial advice and guidance to stakeholders and assurance levels of a high standard.
You will be required to support the management of key SCTS contract and suppliers.You must have or be willing to work towards Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) Level 4 for this role.
You will be based in Saughton House, Edinburgh which is accessible by bus, train, and bicycle; it is also on the Edinburgh tram line.
A Hybrid Working Policy is in place and you will be expected to be in the office at least 2 days per week with the remainder working from home.
