About Our Client:

The client is a large food manufacturing and production company based in West End London.

The client is a highly diversified group with a wide range of businesses and brands with operations in 53 countries across across the world.

The client is looking for a Purchase ledger Assistant to join the London team on a permanent basis.

Purchase Ledger Assistant - Duties

  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Managing the approval process for purchase invoices, proactively chasing unapproved or nonmovement of invoices
  • Reviewing and processing expense claims, ensuring that claims are in line with company policy
  • Reviewing and processing our Corporate Credit Card in line with company policy
  • Preparing supplier payment and expense reimbursement runs
  • Reconciling supplier statements internal and external
  • Perform key period end tasks including clearing suspense and preparing accruals
  • Prepare general ledger and control account reconciliations
  • Set up new suppliers or changes to current suppliers
  • Response to all queries within the expected SLA
  • Train new employees in our key systems
  • Develop and maintain key stakeholder relations
  • Help to ensure all process notes are up to date
  • Perform other tasks as part of the head office central finance function

The Successful Applicant:


Purchase Ledger Assistant - will possess:

  • Degree qualified or a year's work experience in a purchase ledger function in another business
  • Experience working in an office environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, mainly excel
  • Previous exposure to foreign currency transactions
  • An attention to detail, combined with high energy and enthusiasm
  • A proactive and inquisitive nature, with a "can do" approach
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Follow established processes but suggest ways to make them work better
  • Encourage your creativity to drive improvements
