BoundlessView is a start-up which is building a novel OCR engine powered by deep learning and predictive analytical systems. BoundlessView is looking for a passionate undergraduate or recent graduate data scientist to help achieve its objective.


We want you to be curious and innovative with our data to help solve big industry problems with the latest tools and technologies.

In exchange you will have the opportunity to become a valued contributor and learn to solve some of the most complex data problems in the world.

You will be coached and supervised by an experienced data scientist to help you become a full-stack data scientist.


Opportunities and Responsibilities:

Gently, with support, you will be able to

  • Become proficient with data pipelines, technologies, and tooling.
  • Understand and contribute to endtoend data workflows from data ingestion, validation, labelling, and transformation through to visualisation and machine learning.
  • Independently run small data exploration and machine learning projects.
  • Create data dictionaries, manage complex entity relationships, and assess data quality.
  • Learn about MLOps and work with a senior data scientist to automate the workflows and lifecycle of the existing machine learning pipelines for text recognition and text detections projects.
  • Work with the latest data technologies such as NoSQL, Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Seldon and Microservices.
  • Work with the latest deep learning sequence and object detection models and frameworks.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths) related degree or equivalent
  • Show some experience in building machine learning pipelines using Jupyter notebook.
  • Foundational technical skills are desirable (e.g., Python, SQL, Linux, Git, Docker)
  • Fundamental knowledge in data manipulation (e.g., Pandas, dyplyer, Numpy).
  • Interest/Exposure to cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data tools are also desirable.

Nice to have:


  • Basic experience with visualization like matplot, R ggplot or R-Shiny.
  • Basic knowledge in OpenCv.
  • Processing files of formats JSON, XML, YAML.
  • Some experience in Machine learning FW Scikitlearn,TensorFlow, Keras.
  • An interest or basic experience in Devops.
