About The Team & Role


Gloucester City Council has ambitious cultural plans and with investment from the Arts Council England for Gloucester Guildhall as it joins the National Portfolio (NPO) there's never been a more exciting time to join the Culture team.

This new and exciting role is offered on a 3-year fixed term contract in-line with Arts Council England funding.


The Senior Marketing Officer will play a leading role in the promotion of the Gloucester Guildhall's programme and its audience development.

We are committed to ensuring wider participation in our programme, as well as developing new audiences that are more representative of the city's communities.


You'll be the lead marketing officer for Gloucester Guildhall and be responsible for the promotion of Cinema, Live Music & Comedy, Dance, Physical & Circus, through to Digital and Live streamed events.

You'll support the marketing of workshops and masterclasses to connect with Gloucester's diverse communities and champion the Guildhall brand across all its communications.

You will manage a small team including a Marketing Officer, Business Support Officer and Marketing apprentice and work closely with the Tourism and Destination Marketing team and staff across the Culture team.


About You
You'll be passionate about audience development and marketing. You understand the importance of using and developing audience data to inform your marketing choices. You will be confident in your use of digital marketing platforms, from websites to social media channels.


You will be on an annualised hours contract to meet the needs of the industry, working to the cultural programme.
