The Aneurin Bevan UHB Clinical Photography department are an award winning and forward thinking team that provide a high standard photography, video and graphic design service.

We are looking for two dedicated individuals seeking an exciting career in Clinical Photography.

You will be based at our main department at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, and gain exposure to many specialities including:
Dermatology (inc TeleDermoscopy), Maxilliofacial, Orthodontics, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Tissue Viability, Theatre and much more.


As a trainee you will undertake the Level 7 Diploma in Clinical Photography, which will require you to commit to additional hours outside of the working day to complete the qualification.


This is an 18-month fixed term contract starting on Monday 2 nd September 2024 and ending on Friday 27 th February 2026.

This post is a fixed term/secondment for 18 months to meet the needs of the service.


To work in a team of clinical photographers to produce clinical photographs / video to aid patient care, diagnosis, teaching, research, and publications.

The post holder will provide a range of photographic knowledge and skills to support a variety of multidisciplinary teams, across a range of clinical specialties within the organisation.

Working in a variety of clinical environments, the post holder will use a combination of standardised and non-standardised photographic techniques.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
