A permanent, full time Senior Communications and Engagement Officer role;

Based in Manchester City Centre, offering 3 days working from home;

About Our Client:

Our client is a Public Sector organisation who are striving to make Greater Manchester a place in which people can live, work and learn together in a safe environment.

The key responsibilities of the job will include, but may be limited to;

To engage with staff at all levels to aid understanding and early adoption of the principles the organisation is setting out for the way it delivers its services now and in the future;
To develop and improve staff communication across the organisation by producing content for existing internal communication channels;
To support the Deputy Head of Corporate Communications and Engagement in implementing effective and innovative forms of staff engagement;
To oversee the delivery of the Communications Strategy and associated Portfolio / Programme / Project communication plans;
To manage a communications and engagement consultancy and planning service.

The Successful Applicant:

Extensive experience in a communications role;
Experience of liaising with senior management up to chief executive/chief officer level;
Experience of Copywriting and subediting;
Project management experience / capability;
Proven track record in building good working relationships;
Knowledge of engagement and communication channels to support key messages.
