Job will be in our office in Elmstead Market

MAIN DUTIES
1) General office administration including filing and scanning.

2) Bookkeeping tasks including but not limited to:
a. Bank reconciliations.

b. Maintaining bookkeeping in Microsoft Excel.

c. Purchase and sales ledger.

d. Maintaining bookkeeping in software including Xero and QuickBooks.

3) Simple payroll tasks.

4) Updating databases including maintaining client data and overseeing client onboarding.

5) Archiving of files.

6) Answering the office phone, advising clients on basic queries, taking messages.

7) Greeting clients visiting the office, making teas and coffees.

8) Overseeing storage of client's records in the office. Maintaining log of paperwork kept. Keeping office tidy.

9) Other ad hoc admin tasks where necessary.


PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

Maths and English GCSE (Level 4+ grade C or above) Essential

Previous Experience Working in Finance Essential

Proficient In Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Essential

Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills Essential

Attention To Detail and Ability to Produce Accurate Work Essential

Ability To Use Own Initiative Essential

Logical Problem-Solving Skills Essential

Experience Working with Xero and QuickBooks Preferred

Previous Experience Working in Accountancy Practice Preferred

Payroll Experience Preferred

Initial Hours: 12 Hours (Flexible on Days) Potentially Increasing To 18 Hours


Pay:
Depending On Experience

Probation Period: 3 Months

Interviews to take place in mid March 2024

£11.50-£13.00 per hour
