Description:

The Procurement Contract Specialist will support all procurement activities for indirect spend.

Supporting the Procurement Contract Manager the Procurement Contract Specialist will be responsible for end-to-end tendering and implementing framework agreements for all indirect spend.

You will collaborate with other public sector organisations to utilise their framework agreements. They will Support and assist the Procurement Contract Manager in a wider range of procurement projects and activities.

The Procurement Contract Specialist will work closely with internal stakeholders. They will develop supplier relationships to ensure continued or improved performance levels are achieved. They will also be responsible for contract administration including review and processing of invoices and reporting on cost savings.

Knowledge and experience for the role:

Experience working in a similar procurement/purchasing role
Experience of end to end tendering and category management
Experience in tendering via Scottish public procurement regulations and Public Contract Scotland (PCS) would be highly advantageous but training will be given
Experienced in negotiating medium/high complexity nonstandard agreements/frameworks
Contract management negotiation experience
Experience of ERP purchase order placement/ material receipt processes
Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
Commercially savvy

This is a Hybrid role and an early finish on a Friday.
