**Interim Strategy Lead - Policy
Based in London

Length: 3 months initially


An exciting new opportunity within one of our Local Authority clients has arisen for an interim Strategy Lead for Policy, who will provide a central role in shaping and driving key strategies and policies for the organisation.

  • Key responsibilities of the Interim Strategy Lead
  • Policy:_
  • Establishing an updated action plan to deliver the Health & Wellbeing Strategy
  • Finalising the new Borough Plan and subsequent activities around socialising ambitions and ensuring processes for delivery
  • Shaping the organisations approach for horizon scanning, lobbying and influencing
  • Chairing and leading the Migration Coordination Group which oversees migration issues
  • Undertaking comprehensive corporate and departmental policy and strategy reviews including medium and longer term planning in order to underpin the development and delivery of the Council's shared policy agenda
  • Supporting the development of a shared policy agenda and programmes for coordinating policy responses across services
  • Skills, experience and knowledge required of the Interim Strategy Lead
  • Policy:_
  • Knowledge and understanding of local government and how it relates to the development of new policy development and service planning
  • Knowledge and understanding of the major factors, influences and challenges facing local government
  • Experience of leading and implementing the development of key policies, including researching and analysing complex information to make recommendations on improvements in service delivery
