The role:


Technology Business Partner


Within the IAG Cargo technology function the Business Partner will drive close alignment between one or multiple business functions and technology.

The role holder will be an energetic, structured, and detailed individual who has a strong passion for driving continual business and technology change.


Reporting directly to the Head of Innovation and Digital Strategy, this role will be a key part of the technology management team, ensuring our technology solutions and business processes are fully aligned and contribute to the vision and strategic direction of the organisation.


What you'll do:


People/Relationship

  • Build, develop and maintain sustainable respectful stakeholder relationships
  • Inspire outcomebased decision making
  • Lead performance reviews with key stakeholder groups

Governance

Member/Invitee of the following boards:


  • IAG Cargo Tech Senior Management Team
  • IAG Cargo Functional Management Team
  • Architecture Review Board
  • Project Prioritisation Board
  • Project Delivery Board
  • Technology Operations & Delivery Board
  • Ensure full adherence to all governance, standards, and processes across the IAG Cargo organisation
  • Conduct internal functional technology satisfaction surveys and drive continual improvement across the team
  • Proactively contribute to continual improvement across IAG Cargo, specifically in relation to the Operating Model and ways of working

Responsabilities

  • Responsible for 'first point of contact' between all CDIO departments and for the funneling of the IT demand aligned with IT process changes and transformation roadmap.
  • As a member of multiple boards and forums, drive strategic alignment and prioritisation between the business and technology
  • Responsible for representing your respective business functions ideas and aspirations into the innovation team, bringing new and improved ways of working, outside the box thinking, and new technologies to drive efficiencies across the organisation
  • Responsible for building and owning an annual and 3year IT/technology account plan and roadmap for your respective business function(s)
  • Proactively drive the ambitions of your respective business function(s), by being a trusted partner within IT/technology for all business initiatives
  • Responsible for coordinating all technology related project activity (Scope, cost, time, and approval) for your respective business function(s)
  • Strong collaboration and alignment across all IAG Cargo technology domains
  • Become an expert in the endtoend business process and critical business solutions for your respective business function(s)
  • Responsible for your respective Business Partner budget

Your experience:


  • Displays confidence and resilience, plus an energy to deliver results
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Excellent team working skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex IT/technology solutions in a coherent manner
  • Excellent planning and prioritisation capabilities

Essential Experience:


  • 5+ years in a senior business/client partnering/relationship role
  • Strong communication skills with ability to operate at all levels of the organisation
  • Experience collaborating with and presenting to Senior Leadership Team

Desirable Experience:


  • Experience working in the Logistics, Freight, Courier industry
  • Experience of major technology and business change programs
