The Company:


  • A leading manufacturer of plastic food packaging, supplying the food and retail sectors. Leading the way with sustainable packaging solutions. Due to continued success they have an opportunity for a strategic Account Manager to complement their existingteam. Salary £55,000 plus bonus, car and benefits.

  • Key Account Manager

The Role of the Key Account Manager:

  • Drive profitable Sales Growth within the Ready Meal market sector on Key Account Customers
  • Developing effective working relationships with key customer contacts across their business and manage internal stakeholders with information flow and knowledge.

Primary Duties of the Key Account Manager:

  • Grow sales & profit by expanding product range, upselling where possible.
  • Work collaboratively with the business to convert Sales strategy into new business or business growth.
  • Understanding the opportunities within the marketplace now and in the future
  • Work within the parameters of business capability, adhering to lead times, production constraints.
  • Develop a collaborative working relationship with internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for managing a portfolio of existing customers, both commercially and via NPD
  • Presenting sales documentation on a monthly basis to an agreed format and timescale
  • To develop customer relations through frequent meetings and face to face time
  • To drive margin improvement through entire portfolio
  • Ensure all business has a benefit to the company and is profitable to manufacture.
  • Work closely with the customer and deal with any issues effectively & confidently reaching a mutually agreeable solution for the customer, operations/production and the business.
  • Work within the parameters set out by the company.
  • Effectively challenge customer ideas whilst providing alternative solutions that fit with company capability and customer need

Experience, Education, Qualifications and Prerequisites

  • Graduate Diploma / Bachelor
  • Academy level / Technician level
  • General knowledge and work experience within functional area (27 years)
  • Highly experienced within functional area or general broad knowledge of several job areas
  • Effective Selling Skills closing the deal.
  • Quality, structure and ontime delivery
  • P&L Understanding & Management
  • Strong & effective communicator
  • Proactive, structured & organized.
  • Commercially Orientated & Decision Maker

Salary & Conditions:

- £50,000 - £55,000pa depending on experience plus bonus & benefits
