Senior Settlements & Trading Analyst
Reporting to the Head of Back Office
Basedin:
(West Midlands) with occasional travel to Teesside (Middlesbrough)

As the Senior Settlements Analyst, you will report to the Head of Back office and have a Settlements Analyst report to you.
You will provide accurate and timely reporting to facilitate the validation of all Power activities and be the settlements SME forPower when liaising on the business on new initiatives and settlement queries.
On a regular basis, the team will liaise with several different external counterparties across the Power and Gas, including National Grid, Elexon as well as regulator bodies.
TheBack Office team sit within the finance function with the Head of Back-office reporting into the CFO.Key responsibilities:
Manage and monitor the teams trade confirmation and allocation processes, ensuring any re-occurring issues are mitigated with Front office.
Assist Finance with the month end close out reporting.
Validate monthly Ancillary services invoices from National Grid and raising disputes where required for STOR, FFR, FR and DC settlement.
Monitor and reconcile Triad charges.
Review daily spill settlements from Elexon, working with Trading and Risk teams to ensure we continue to be profitable and have sufficient collateral in place to manage our trading activities.
Maintain daily trade records with power counterparty and verify confirmations. Verify statement sign off and payments to counterparty.
Elexon balancing process - check the imbalance charged by Elexon to forecast. Review monthly Elexon invoices received. Use of Betta flow system to download Elexon files for trade checking.
Calculate spill power invoices for power counterparties for invoicing and provisioning.
Confirmation of netting statements for power monthly billing.
Capacity market metering checking and verifying to payments received.
Assist the team in submitting and ensuring we are compliant with regulatory reporting as advised by the compliance team.
Be the teams Power SME for any settlement disputes and internal change projects.
