Job Description:

Are you a Project Surveyor looking to work on building projects that can change the world, projects that are always more complex and innovative than the last?

If so, we are looking for an experienced Project Surveyors to join our team in London to work on projects where you will provide a comprehensive, accurate and value driven service for large, high profile and exciting key Clients in the Social Infrastructure Team (Health, Science, Tertiary education, Blue Light, Government., etc.)

About Our Team:

Our London Cost Management team is part of one of the largest multi-disciplinary practices in the UK. We have over 120 professionals from Trainees to Directors.

We work on award winning and industry leading projects, have a diverse team, with a high performing culture, a Training and Career Development Plans for all including supportive and nurturing line managers.

You will be joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.


As a Project Surveyor, you will work as part of the team to help deliver all aspects of quantity surveying from inception of a project through to completion.

You will work on a number of projects, varying in complexity, ranging in value from £5m - £500m.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead Cost Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
  • Provide effective support and mentoring to Graduates and Apprentices.
  • Develops strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.
  • Manage the delivery of cost management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
  • Provide full Cost Management duties to AECOM clients.

Qualifications:


Minimum Requirements:


  • Degree Qualified - BSc or MSc - in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
  • Proven experience in a consulting environment providing the full spectrum of CM services including Pre Contract Estimating; Procurement; Contract Administration, Cost Reporting and Final Account resolution.
  • Passionate about delivering high quality consulting services to our clients.
  • Understanding of JCT and NEC standard forms of contract.
  • Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.
  • Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilise digital measurement, cost planning and tender document tools shall be essential.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Professionally Qualified - ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution.
  • Active member of local networking groups.
  • CSCS Card
