Due to internal promotion are looking for two qualified PWPs to join our supportive and highly regarded Step 2 Ealing IAPT team.

You'll support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the Ealing IAPT service


This will include:

  • Providing screening assessments, case management and treatment at Low Intensity/Step 2, following agreed protocols
  • Taking personal responsibility for achieving agreed clinical activity relating to the number of agreed contact hours per week.
  • Assisting patients in the use of computer therapy programmes as part of their clinical care, and evaluating their use.
  • Assisting specific psychological clinical work with adult patients for example going out with patients in exposure work and relaxation training, and going through self help manuals with patients, under the supervision of a qualified member of the IAPT team as part of their clinical care.
  • Assisting in the coordination and running of therapeutic groups.
  • Assisting in the development of a psychologically based framework of understanding and care to the benefit of all clients of the service, across all settings where care takes place.
  • Attending and contributing to our multidisciplinary meetings


This role will include working with people from different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary, and you will be passionate about providing an equal opportunity for all clients to access our services.

The Ealing IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) service is provided by West London NHS Trust.

The service operates from a main hub between West Ealing and Ealing Broadway, with additional sites sometimes used in Southall and across the borough.

Ealing IAPT service offers talking therapies for people over 18 who have a GP in the London Borough of Ealing.

We have a well-established Step 2 team consisting of PWPs, senior PWPs, and Assistant Psychologists.

We have a supportive team culture and there are good opportunities for career progression. You will be able to engage in team reflective practice sessions and wellbeing events. We have recently had positive feedback from a staff survey where we scored highly in regard to perceptions of the quality of care staff felt able to provide, levels of support, feeling valued and in equality and diversity
