Head of Finance, Permanent, Birmingham, up to £65,000 and a hybrid working model.

A pioneering engineering business have an exceptional opportunity, to work at the forefront of their highly reputable finance team. You will fast track all accounting and reporting improvements.

In turn through utilisation of your business partnering skills, with the marketing and product design departments, your analytical acumen will allow improved business reporting, decision making and performance.

It is essential that you can quickly prove your business decision making skills and their establishing of ROI.

This role would be suited to a finance professional who is available on a short notice, wanting to gain valuable experience in an exciting and innovative business.

As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities within the organisation. This is a key leadership role that requires strong financial management skills, organisational abilities, and excellent leadership capabilities.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking control of the financial team and establish best practice alongside the team.
  • Supervising and making process improvements throughout the management accounts team.
  • Delivering financial information requests, whilst working with a wide range of operational leaders.
  • All statutory duties to include both overseeing both month and year end accounting.

Other duties:

  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information
  • Managing the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
  • Improving financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations to management.


To be successful in this role and establish yourself as integral to the business needs, you will have exceptional consumer focused skills and other relationship building acumen.

You will have a real understanding of the figures that are fundamental in all areas to include the management accounts for improved and timely reporting.

Ideally your working will demonstrate tenacity, adaptive to market conditions.

£60,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
