Exciting opportunities has arisen due to expansion and growth for Manufacturing & Production Glass Operatives to join our fast-paced multi-skilled team at DGU Express Ltd.

Job Purpose:

To assist in providing a professional and seamless manufacturing production service across the business to meet current and future business needs.

Assisting in making high-quality double-glazed glass units in an appropriate efficient and timely manner. Please note successful applicants will receive full on the job training to become fully competent within the glass industry.


The Role:


Working in this key role as one of our dedicated team, you will be responsible for, but not limited to: -

Assisting the multi-skilled team providing a seamless manufacturing production service across the business making high-quality double-glazed glass units in an appropriate and timely manner.

General day to day production duties including manual handing of glass units, as well as taping and bar filling double glazed glass units using the latest cutting-edge machinery.

Please note successful applicants will receive full on the job training to become fully competent within the glass industry.

Responsible for operating hand tools, power tools and machinery to create high quality double-glazed glass units according to specifications.

Performing quality checks on finished glass products to ensure they meet company standards.

Assisting daily with incoming glass sheets deliveries.

Assisting daily with loading and unloading vans.

This is a physical role and requires some heavy lifting.

Liaising and maintaining good working relationships with suppliers and work colleagues.

Ensuring all daily duties are conducted in accordance with the companies Health and Safety policies. Following safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and tidy organized working area at all times.

Successful applicants MUST be comfortable working with glass and will be able to progress further within the glass industry learning all aspects of the trade including glass cutting, Lead lighting and Georgian bar designing.

This is a niche opportunity for applicants who are eager with a willingness to learn.

COVID-19 Considerations: Relevant PPE will be provided where necessary (face masks, gloves, sanitizer)

Please note you will be responsible for supplying your own steel cap toe boots.


Hours:

40-45 hours per week (Monday-Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm)

No experience is required as full on the job training will be provided.

Any manufacturing production / warehouse experience advantageous.
