The role of Human Resources (HR) is to enable the Trust to achieve its strategic aims and service objectives by promoting the most effective utilisation of staff, supporting EMAS in implementing organisational change, providing challenge and effective advice in employee relations and all other associated employee related challenges.


As the Human Resources Advisor, you will provide support for the Non-Emergency Patient Transport Division who have operational staff based in Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, and Horizon Place (Nottingham), as well as several staff providing support services whilst working from home.


As part of a passionate HR Team at EMAS you will be at the forefront of providing a comprehensive and professional human resources service to the managers and employees of the Trust; therefore, an ability to build good working relationships is pivotal.

You will be driven and passionate and want to be part of a dynamic HR team.


You will be responsible for specific projects and the development and implementation of policies, procedures and project work that will ensure the effective use of our people to achieve key objectives of the Trust.

The successful applicant will be home based and will report to the Human Resources Business Partner.

You will be required on occasions to travel to our stations across the East Midlands providing support and will also be expected to be flexible as you will be operating in a fast paced environment.


  • Currently be an HR practitioner who has a track record of excellence.
  • Have demonstrable evidence of strong employee relations experience.
  • Have uptodate knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Be someone who maintains positive working relationships with Trade Union colleagues.
  • Be someone who naturally looks to make improvements to working practices.
  • Be able to use initiative, meet challenging deadlines and manage competing priorities.
