I am delighted to be partnering with a dynamic regional accountancy firm seeking to recruit a Tax Senior as part of the Corporate Tax team.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients and give tax planning advice.

The role involves drafting Self-Assessment tax returns, reviewing the returns prepared by colleagues and providing proactive tax planning advice to clients.

You will be keen to provide a hands on compliance role that exceeds client expectations and support your Partner / Manager team on advisory projects.

Key responsibilities will include:
Tax

Managing a portfolio of Corporate Tax Self-Assessment tax returns
Reviewing corporate tax returns and computations prepared by team members
Supporting the tax managers / partners
Assisting with tax advisory work
Managing workload and client expectations
Working within budgets set at the planning stage
Overseeing staff in preparation of tax returns and computations, providing training where required and assisting with their development
Ensuring the efficient use of appropriate software packages

Clients

Maintain an up to date understanding of tax clients' businesses
Maintain a good working relationship with clients
Take an active role in business development, and promoting the firm in the local area
Contacting / responding to clients and liaising with HMRC

Task Management

Consistently achieve deadlines and understand the commercial implications of actions
Communicate workload with manager or partner
Work with less experienced colleagues to develop their specialist areas.
