Communications Specialist

£550/Day

6-Month Contract
Akton Resourcing are looking for a Communications Specialist to join the Central Bedfordshire on an initial 6-Month Contract.

**Your Role

Being the key interface between the Communications and Engagement Team and Council Services; understanding their priorities, negotiating and agreeing the work plan for delivery by the team.

Providing strategic advice and support to service areas, particularly on high profile projects or issues.

Creation and delivery of appropriate, appealing, timely and accessible communications to all target audiences.

Your Team:

Our team provide communications, consultation and equality support to the council in order to promote, protect and enhance the brand and reputation of the organisation and its services.
The team also provide intelligence about staff, communities & customers through data analysis to support service development.

Requirements:

Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a communications role, with experience in developing and implementing successful communications strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise content for a variety of audiences
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fastpaced environment
Knowledge of digital and social media platforms, and experience with managing and analyzing metrics to inform communications strategy
