Salary:
APTEC Scale 7 - £25,629 per annum - pro rota = £19,061


Hours:9.15am to 4.15pm - term time only


Contract:

PolyMAT is looking to appoint an Academic Mentor to work with the Senior Leadership Team to identify which pupils need 1:1-1:7 support packages.

To play a key role in enabling students in the most disadvantaged areas to build their confidence and access targeted support while developing skills and experience to access the next level of education/training.

Role to focus on Level 3 curriculum, including Maths, Sciences, and English.

The main responsibility of this role will be delivering support to at least 50 pupils in the format of:

  • Small group work
  • OnetoOne support
  • Revision lessons (in groups or onetoone)
  • Intervention for students on SEND register
To support this, you will also be expected to:

  • Help to shape a bespoke intervention program for pupils that have been identified by Sixth Form team and RSL.
  • Show a willingness to research course specification requirements.
