Description

We are looking for a Domestic Transport Supervisor to join our team and work Monday to Friday either 09:00-19:00 or 07:00-17:00 depending on business needs, so flexibility is required.

The role would include company paid sponsorship for Transport Manager CPC qualification, so is an ideal role for someone who has experience within the freight / transport industry and would like to eventually progress to Transport Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Allocating routes / efficient planning across the whole of the UK, for between 10 & 15 drivers ensuring they have all required documentation and are provided with clear, accurate information as their first point of call.
Communicating with drivers throughout the day as required, monitoring the milestones and updating them with additional jobs/ any changes.
Replying to customers / internal queries in a timely manner, and booking jobs via our internal system.

You will need to be:

Able to multitask at a fast pace, and able to think ahead.
A team player, inspiring a good working atmosphere through cooperation and communication. A "get the job done, but have fun" attitude.
Flexible
Punctual
Reliable
PC Literate to a high standard.
Able to easily commute to our office in SL3 0BQ.

You will need to have:

Excellent, clear communication skills, both verbally and written.
Experience within the freight forwarding industry or other supervisory / management experience within a different industry but a real interest in obtaining a transport manager CPC qualification.
At least a basic knowledge of UK geography / driving times.
5 years referencing and a clear criminal record as these need to be checked and verified if successful.
