Strategic Research Specialist

Bourne End

Permanent

Full Time

Salary Up to £35,000

As a Strategic Research Specialist you will be responsible for:

Scoping out data source opportunities in line with company strategy
Setting own targets and managing deadlines
Maintaining a database of knowledge including sources and commodities
Acquiring information about sources through direct communication and online research
Liaising with Head of Data Acquisition to obtain new sources of data
Collaborating cross departmentally to ensure the most suitable data is available to clients
Presenting findings on sources and commodities to share knowledge around the team

Skills:

Administrative experience gained in an office environment
Experience of researching a chosen topic and presenting findings, including working with numerical data
Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate complex issues in a clear, concise and coherent manner
Clear interest and curiosity around data and its ability to help inform decisions
Comfortable working independently and managing own deadlines
Strong project work experience, with clear evidence of team work
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Prior experience of commodity markets, in market research (desirable)
Previous experience working in client service role (desirable)
