Japan's leading beer brand seeks a UK representative to maintain the relationship with their distributors as well as be responsible for brand awareness activities.


The main objective of this position is to maintain and build long-term relationships with main distributors (Japanese & non-Japanese wholesalers) in the UK and ensure quality consistency across each individual location.


TYPE:
initial 6 months contract (possibility to extend) or Agency worker contract
Full-time or Part-time (Negotiable)

Salary:
Neg (ideally £30-45k p.a. depending on experiences) + benefits

Working hours: 9:00-17:00 Monday to Friday


Location:
Hybrid (WeWork)

Spring 2024 (Negotiable)


Core Duties:


  • Coordinate marketing activities, market research, and brand and intellectual property management
  • Sales reporting and analysis, creating sales forecasts
  • Consumer and market research project execution and analysis
  • Coordinate meetings and arrange tasting events
  • Participate in exhibitions related to the alcoholic beverages (Beer) Industry
  • Preparation of longterm brand plans and marketing presentations
  • Development and execution of marketing plans with the EU headquarters
  • Keep full and proper books of accounts and records, and submit sales reports regularly according the timelines of the HQ
  • Regular evaluation of market and consumer trends
  • Communicate with clients on a regular basis
  • Maximize sales and profitability in the region
  • Set and meet sales targets for individual locations
  • Business trip nationwide as well as to Amsterdam European headquarters
  • At least 3+ years of experience in distributor sales preferably in the alcoholic beverages sector
  • Degree in marketing or any marketing related certificate holder is an ideal
  • Experience in alcoholic beverages or the fastmoving consumer goods (FMCG) industry
  • Fluent English both speaking and writing is a must
  • Japanese language skills are a bonus, but not essential
  • Strong work ethic, high energy level, interpersonal skills, motivation, and enthusiasm
  • Excellent communication skills and strong commitment
  • The ability to work independently is essential
  • Educated to Bachelor's degree or equivalent
